A Healthy Marriage

Sure. Why not? I mean I wrote about marriage kinda yesterday. Why not read about such a hot topic again? But, this time take a look at another
piece of the puzzle. What does Sam mean?

I mean today I plan on talking about the power of words in a marriage. "A healthy marriage is one when each person takes care in what they say." TE.  What is coming to mind is the the importance of really thinking
before one speaks.

Husbands? Wives? Do you agree with me when I say we spouses should focus on only saying words to one another that will be  encouraging or build the other one up.

" A marriage is where we need building up" TE
Can we even remember the last time we complimented our spouse? I should probably do that now. Hold up. Ok did that.

If you have to say something to
your spouse that
you know won't necessarily be nice?  Then, speak your truth. But, make sure you do it in love.

I know right? That definitely can be very difficult. How-do-you-do it? Well, I think the person talking definitely should make surer they have a nice tone when they speak. Only speak of the positive qualities about your spouse. Not the negatives. Remember you are trying to encourage them and bring them up. Not down.

It really doesn't matter if your spouse deserves good words. Just give it to them. Remember words can really hurt.

Also remember if you speak one way to your church family fo not speak in another way to your actual family.

Let me end with a few words from Tony Evans.

-Speech is a spiritual issue so it saddens the Holy Spirit when we mess up.

• Don't judge your spouse lest you be judged. God is the real judge.

• Misery in marriage can change to blessing if you change the way you speak to your spouse
