At least once a day, if not more than. What is in Samantha's mind today? I am thinking right now about sinning. Wel), not literally at this moment. You know what I mean.
We all sin! If someone says that they never sin? If someone says that they never go A-day without sinning? I would probably not believe them.
I would probably ask them these questions. So, you never have bad thoughts? So, you have never acted angry towards someone?
Guys, because we do sin every day? That means, we also need forgiveness just as much. And if we need to offer forgiveness to other people? Then we need to do that.
The Bible tells us, “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us” (1 John 1:8 NKJV). The pssage continues with 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins he is Faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify
Us from all unrighteousness.
What Comes to mind are some thoughts from Pastor Greg Laurie. He quotes from the Lord's prayer." Give us each day our daily bread and forgive Us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us."
Then Pastor Greg says this. "Jesus was saying that we not only should pray for our daily bread, but we should be praying for and extending forgiveness every day. God wants us to forgive others."
Now, Sam follows up by saying. Well no, I think more to the effect of this. I would have more of like a frustrated demeanor probably. Cry out loud, that's difficult!!!
Wait, you mean to tell me, Jesus, that You want me to forgive other people for doing something to me that According to me is so unforgivable?
Let me get this Straight Jesus brand you want me to forgive someone who would definitely not even think to offer me the same forgiveness if I was to ever hurt this person?
Hold up! On top of all of that stuff? You're telling me that I not only have to do that stuff. But, we have to pray for them too?
I imagine Jesus saying something like this. "Yup. "
Well, fellow Christians? I guess we know what we have to do. And, if we need a reminder? Check out the bible..
