Why Do Some Parents Do That?

Now, I used the word some, because I have heard of parents that choose to raise their children by way of doing exactly what I am referring to. Then, I have heard of parents who do not do this way of a parenting style. What are you talking about Sam?

1st of all I am no parent. So, I don't have any personal thoughts about this. Most thoughts derive from how other parents feel. Or, how the children of these parents may feel.

Wait a minute. Maybe I should start by telling you what exactly am I even talking about? What parenting style Sam?

I am talking about scaring your children. I am thinking there is a parent right now thinking " I don't do that!" But if I asked their child if their parents did that? There would probably be a different story.

Let me go right and ask some of you parents this.

Why exactly do you do that? I mean I'm sure if anyone heard that? They probably would be initially thinking what are you some psycho?

Well, I guess the definition of scaring your kids may differ. You can scare your kids by threatening their life or puttimg one in a dangerous situation. If that is the case then yes you are a psycho parent. And, the authorities need to be called immediately!

However, if you parents are being truthful with your kids? Telling them the harsh reality of how the world is today? I'm talking about telling them that there are unfortunately people out there with guns that sometimes like to hurt your children amongst others? Then, that's a genuine scare. Go ahead and tell your kids the harsh reality.

Folks, what is not an OK way to scare your kids is by saying this. Do not tell your children there are monsters living under their bed! Or, don't tell,your kids there's a creature that is half man and 1/2 horse that lives on top of the tree right by your house. And, will come out at 11:00. Some parents say that just to make sure their kids come home by curfew.

Parents, are you really going to scare them like that? I also remember reading somewhere that telling them about monsters? That may cause psychological damage.  You parents would Not want that right?

Pause break. I remember Joe told me when he was younger living in the Philippines this. I guess when he was little he said he used to play with dwarfs. Now, that he i born again Christian, he says those dwarfs were definitely demonic.

Oops, sorry got side tracked. What was I saying again? Oh yeah scaring your children. Let me end with some final Deep points!

-If you want to scare your children then scare them with the truth. The sad and very harsh reality of what is happening in our world today should be enough to scare anyone. Just watch the news!
