Will You?

Play for the Audio Version

O man. Shame on me! I totally forgot to give shout outs to awesome people I met yesterday.  So, that's why I'm back. Talk about a delayed reaction.  Shout out to my awesome new hairstylist, Jada!  Shoutout to Ashley and Lauren!  I pray that you all will be encouraged by my readings!  Have an awesome day!

Did I ever mention that someone once told me this saying. I believe it was one of my doctors before. I guess she said this because I was just so nice.
She pointed up to the sky and said "He has a place saved for you up there." Wow? Really? How did she know that? I didn't even know that!

Seriously though?
I guess that was a compliment. She apparently thought that I was a good person. I am a good person some days. Then there are days when I'm not a good person.

She said I was a nice girl. At least she did not say that He has a place for me down there and pointed her finger down.

So, yeah now what is Sam thinking? I am thinking that yes I do have my days where I do appear like a good person. Then again there are those days where I will appear like a bad person. Usually, those are the days I am behind closed doors.

Folks, do you seriously believe that just because you are a good person, God saved you a place in Heaven? Show me in the bible where it says that. Oh that's right you won't be able to show me that. Because that is not in the bible!

Friends, if you didn't realize it yet? Then let me tell you. That is this. You yourself are in charge and have the ultimate control of where your future lies.

AKA? After death, will you be going to heaven? Or, will you be going to hell? It is your choice!

Thanks to Adam and Eve and their big mess up, sin entered the world. Yep, Romans 3:23 says for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. I know that does sound so sad! And, that's the bad news. Should we have a pause break and put our sad faces on?

No! I am kidding. I am kidding because friends there is good news! The good news is Jesus came! He, the man who never sinned loves All of us sinners so much. So much, that he chose to suffer on the cross and die for us! Then he rose to life and will live in the hearts
of those who invite him in.

Whoever chooses to believe and accept Jesus as their personal Lord and savior will be saved! Saved from the fires of hell! They will spend eternity with Jesus Christ in heaven! Assured of their salvation!

My friend's, do you want that? I mean do you really want that? Aren't you sick and tired of not feeling totally sure what is going to happen to you if you were to die tonight? You can be totally sure!

I'm gonna end with a prayer of invitation. You can choose to say this prayer with me.  Or, not. It is totally up to you. To reiterate, this is gonna be some deep stuff. No, this is not a magical prayer. You don't just say the words and then poof you are guaranteed heaven. Nope it doesn't work like that.

This is a prayer where you are telling Jesus Christ you believe in him. You are inviting Him into your life, giving Him the ok that he can do whatever he wants with your life.

Friends, the bible says that Jesus stands at the door of your heart and knocks. I am pretty sure he would like us humans to open the door of your heart and let him in.

He's not gonna force you though. It's up to you. Will you let him in?

Dear Jesus.  I know that I'm a Sinner and I believe that you died for me and took all my sins with you on that cross. You did that because you love me!  I ask you to come into my heart. And,  I thank you so much for the forgiveness of my sins. I can't wait to spend eternity with you in heaven after my time is done here on Earth. In Jesus name Amen!

But God  demonstrates his love for us in this, whil we were still sinners Christ died for us.

"And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
