Well, before I shut my eyes and go to sleep for the night I do this. My husband and I will say a prayer. You know thanking God for the day and other stuff. Ofcourse, the nightly praying together will only happen if we're not fighting or anything. Yup, remember fellow married couples fights do happen in a marriage. We are in a marriage. So, my husband and I know a thing or 2 about getting into fights.
That reminds me about not going to bed angry. Yeah, I know that is definitely something that needs work. Maybe I should put it on my bucket list. Good thing I remembered!
When I wake up in the morning, the 1st thing I do is this. Get my phone to the right of me and check my email! Duh! What were you thinking? I mean what if I get something really important?!
UM No, I am totally messing around! I don't do that! In all seriousness, the point I am trying to make in the reading for the day is putting God first!
The very 1st thing I do is grab my phone. Then, I go to a list of people's names and I pray for them. Sometimes I would read some biblical literature. Then, I would begin going about getting ready for my day.
After getting ready? Is my quiet time spending with God done? Is that enough time for any Christian? I would only be able To answer that only for me. You Christians? You need to ask yourselves that question.
I know for me? Even after I get ready I'm still spending time with God! Well, I should be. Let me explain.
See, it's really my fault. I welcomed devotionals written by fellow Christians. So, if I receive them? Then I'm gonna read them. And, I'm really grateful because sometimes whatever I read is really close to home. And, definitely something I needed to hear or read at that moment.
Now, it's your turn.
Not like I'm going To hear what you guys have to say. Just something to ponder over.
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Matthew 6:19-21
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
