D-Word Series Part 31: Guilt

Play for the Audio Version

Hmm... truth? I am honestly feeling that the Lord put this subject in my mind this morning because of you. Did you look at my title
a few minutes ago and think, 'oh no I don't want to read this! ' ( Sam wonders why?)

Oh really? I wonder whatever the reason would be for because of that? Perhaps oh, it's a little bit too close to home? Let me spell it out for you. Are you feeling G-U-I-L-T-Y?

Hello, welcome to my meeting this morning. That is if I still caught you as my reader? I hope you didn't like shun me away as soon as you saw the title of today's reading. You still with me?

Check it out. Seriously, try and feel me here. Perhaps, the Holy Spirit is tugging at your heart right now and led you to my reading this morning because of this. See, I believe the Holy Spirit actually put thoughts in my mind this morning about this subject so I can share my thoughts with you guys. Think about it, and maybe the Holy Spirit is ltugging at your heart this morning so you would be led to go to my reading so you can hear what I have to say. Because like I said it's for you! I know! Isn't that a tripped out thought?!

So, with all that said, let's see what the holy spirit's going to tell my heart next. So, yeah guilt. What is 1 supposed to do if they feel guilty?
For this reading, let's take a look at spouses. If spouses feel guilty  then  they need to confess why they feel guilty to their spouse. And,
hope for forgiveness. Oh yeah the good Lord knows that is really difficult to do. And he also knows, that is definitely something one must do.

Let me just give a random example of a woman who is cheating on her husband. She is now feeling very guilty. Let me offer some points and words of advice of why I believe this woman should confess her sin to her husband.

The first reason I believe she should fess up and confess to what she has been doing is this. It will probably make her feel better. I mean internally her heart will feel better. Her mind will feel better. It means she'll be able to think straight. I mean you guys know how it is to feel guilty. It's a yucky feeling! Can you really hold that kind of feeling for a long time?

I would like to end my reading today with this Bible verse. Wow oh, this is really a good verse for all of us to hear during this time of anxiety, difficulty, confusion, heartache, worriedness you name it. Did you all ever think we would be in this state of being onlock down?
Did you all ever think we would be able to contract a deadly illness just by being in the presence of the infected? I didn't.
But, we are in those times. What do we do now? I think we should do what some of us probably haven't done. And, that is to turn to God.

John 14:27

“Peace I leave with you. My peace I give you. I give to you not as the world gives. Don’t be troubled or afraid.

Psalm 91
