Living For You Part 1/2

Play for the Audio Version

You all know, my name is Samantha. Before my marriage it was Samantha Tongol. Now, that l am happily married? I am Samantha Verdaguer. I was so proud to take on the last name of my husband. We are your somewhat normal married couple?

Why do I say somewhat? Well, just like any other couple, we laugh, we smile, we get mad at each other. Maybe hurt each other, cry together or apart. ( I would probably do most of the crying lol)

We have tons of fun together. We don't have fun when we fight. Anything you can think of coming from a marriage..

One of the reasons I say somewhat is because of this.
I have a pretty yucky disease of Multiple Sclerosis. There's some things that I can still do. Then, there are things that I cannot do any more.

My husband Joe has been with me since before the disease. Then stayed and married me even after I got the disease. I know, you guys are so right. I am definitely one blessed lady!

I recently just turned 40 years old! If you guys would have asked me many years ago where I would be around this time of my life? Many things would probably be different.

The reality is that I am Exactly right where I'm supposed to be. I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing. I am married to whom I'm supposed to be married to

I often refer to myself as an early retiree. I remember experiencing the work life at a young age. I was a working under-the-table waitress for a place that is a no longer existing HamBurger joint.

I ended up getting the job with one of my girlfriends. I think that job lasted only weeks. At that time, my parents were not having their junior high school daughter working under the table.

Thank God for that. I later became a graduate of junior high, high school..... And, after attending a few colleges? I had graduated with a Bacheor of Arts degree in communication from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

After that I did copywriting. Then worked at WBBM Am News Radio as an assistant producer. (Loved that job!)

However, I was a stupid money hungry young adult. And, I thought that would give more money and would make me happy. But, they did not.

The last job and longest job I had was when I was a receptionist with marketing experience. I was laid off of the job more than 10 years ago. Oh well.

Weeks went by still no job. Then it was a few months, then it was more than a few months and still no job. Then I was really starting to worry.

Until, one day I remember just giving all my anger, sadness, and concerns to the Lord. I told him to use me! I was do focusing on my needs and my glory.

And, God listened. He probably was waiting for me to do that. There wasn't a fast change. But, when I think about how God has blessed me from that time to now. Check this out.

Well, first of all I believe that God blesses his children with many gifts and talents. And, Of course he would want Those people who are blessed to utilize those gifts so that He may be glorified.

As I was saying, How has God blessed me from many years ago
all the way until now? First of all, you guys are looking at Exhibit A.

This Deep Thoughts  from Samantha blog? This began probably the 1st day I started going to Starbucks. I would have to do research on archives of when the exact date would be.

The next thing was years later I had the opportunity to share my gift of acting fot God's glory! I also had an opportunity to meet my sister in Christ, Carey Lewis, founder of Actors, Models, and Talent for Christ. From then to even now I'm blessed to still be emailed her Daily devotionals!
