Directed By God

... started this writing yesterday Sunday :-)

We can make plans. We can make plans all we want. We can make plans until we're blue in the face. But, the truth is God is the one who will direct our steps. Do you understand what I mean?

See, I had plans. I, somewhat went through with what I had planned for myself. For example I finished my education from grade school all the way up to getting a bachelor's degree in communication. I even worked in several different jobs for a period of time. My favorite one was when I was assistant producer at WBBM AM news radio. That was a plan I'm thankful God directed my steps towards :-).

So, what happened was I made plans for myself. I completed those plans. Well, some of them. And I'm kind of still currently trying to complete more of what I'm planning in my life. For example, today I am planning on going to church. It looks like God is directing my steps since me and my husband are getting ready to leave for church.

I actually had a little time while my husband was in the bathroom. And, so I thought that God was telling me to do this writing. Friends, that's the gist of my writing. It's simple, we need to understand that we can make all the plans we want in the world, but God is the true director of our steps.

Now, today is Monday and I am continuing this writing. Well, I didn't really make any plans so far. However, there's no doubt in my mind God will be directing my steps for something.
"We must realize that God is in control of all circumstances that surround our lives. God loves us, and He is always looking out for our eternal benefit." Greg Laurie
Encouraging thought of the day:

Don't be discouraged if you end up stuck in your tracks. Remember God directs your steps!

Proverbs 16:9 ESV

The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.

Psalm 37:23 ESV

The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way;

Ephesians 2:8 ESV

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
