When We See It We Do Anything About It?

A few weeks ago my cousin and the family came all the way from Arizona to Chicago to be here for my dad as he celebrated a milestone birthday party. It was nice that they're able to come!

One of the days they were here, Joe and I spent the day with them at the Field museum! Can you believe I've been living here in Chicago basically all my life, but I've only been to the field museum once? And, that was way back when I was like still a toddler. So, I guess I was right along with my Arizona family. I was acting like a tourist for the day. Had a lot of fun that day!

One thing that really sticks out to me, and was something that came to my mind this morning when I was praying for what to write about was this. We all wanted to take a family picture. We posed and Kuya Ken was trying to fit us all in one shot as he was trying to take a selfie. This one man who was walking our way probably saw we were having trouble fitting us all in one picture. He stopped and asked if we wanted him to take a picture.

So we gave him my phone, and it was like he was a professional photographer or something. LOL jk. So, he took the picture and it turned out pretty awesome!

Made me later think of Deep Thoughts concerning myself. I mean, the question is more like if I saw somebody who needed help, would I do anything about it? Pretty ironic huh? Considering the state I am in, I think I'm more likely to be the one who needs help. So, to answer my own question I will say sometimes, or it depends on the situation. Would I be capable to help?

I'm thinking for those of you guys who are healthy enough to help somebody, then why not do it? I bug different people when I go to Starbucks sometimes. Just the other day I asked this nice lady if she would unwrap my candy for me and pick up my scarf that I dropped on the floor. And, kindly she did. I'll never forget one time, this really nice man named Wade, helped me put my shoes back on cuz they accidentally came out! When people help me, when I need help I feel blessed!

Friends, open your eyes and see there are people out there who really need help. Maybe it's not that big of a help. Maybe it is. Oh boy do I have tons of stories about that. Message me if you're interested.

When God sees that you need help, he provides it. It's up to us if we take it or not. I think we just have to understand that when we ask him for it he will give it.

Psalm 46:1 NIV

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
