Ooh yeah, to the wives listening. Some of you will be able to relate to what I'm about to share. Let me dive in!
Many husbands just feel so disrespected by their wives when we dont shut up. Some hubby's would just turn into the Hulk sounding very loud and cruel. Hopefully, not like a menace to his wifey!
So, fellow wives what is my advice when you can feel a disagreement "stirring the pot?"
I guess I have one word. And, that is to "be still." Oh yea, I guess you're right Make that 2 words. :) What do I mean by that? Well, think about what's going on when we are choosing to be still?
Are you thinking?
According to Lisa Leonard author of , " A Deeper Meaning To Be Still." She defines being still like this. " Be still' means to stop striving, stop fighting, relax. It also means to “put your hands down”.
"Sometimes we put our hands up to defend ourselves from all that life can bring our way."
Well, that was the the more you know...with the peacock...type of thing for the day. :)
I am really thinking this. What exactly is the severity of
the fights and the arguments you spouses have with one another?
Wouldn't you say that too much arguing and fighting with one another could be grounds for divorce for the couple? Mix that up with a husband not getting Respect from his wife and the wife not being shown Love by her husband?
Just coarse and vulgar language when he is mad from not getting shown any respect? I think my friend Doctor Emerson Eggerichs
got it right on when he created the phrase crazy cycle!
Yep, you can imagine that definition! I'll give you a clue. Wife: "You never seem loving to me!" Husband- " You never show me respect!" Wives please keep in mind even if your husband is not showing you love, you still have to show him respect. And, husbands even if your wives are not showing you respect, yoi still need to show them love. More smart words from the Lord passed on toq DoIctor Emerson.
Believe me. If you choose not to listen? You're like lighting a match getting ready to fire up the crazy cycle!
Don't you guys think that the Lord likes it when we are 'still' sometimes? Or, probably more than sometimes. I know you guys know what I mean.
Life can get pretty crazy! Minds can get pretty wild and hectic. Overly Deep Thoughts of who to talk to, what things to do, when to go where to go, and why exactly are we doing what we're doing.
Oh wow, that was a trip down memory lane back when I used to work at WBBM Am News radio. When we had to get the 5 W's of news stories. Miss that place! God has a plan.
Alright boys and girls, what did we all learn from reading Samantha's Deep Thoughts for the day? I'm Just being silly. I know you all were reading that, or if not even just scroll up and read it again. :)
Ah! Thank God for our technology nowadays! How did we go through life without it? Yeah, it's a wonder!
Psalm 46:10
“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil
And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.
