Death Is Not The End

Are you afraid of death? You really should not be. Let me share some of my deep thoughts.

We all know what next Sunday is right? And everybody now say, Easter! The focus of Easter should really not be having a beautiful and delicious lunch or dinner with our loved ones. Easter should not really be about wearing pretty pastels as you go to a Sunday morning church service. Easter should definitely not be all about, the coloring of Easter eggs and stuffing your face with Easter chocolates or other candies. And, Easter should certainly not be all about celebrating the Easter Bunny.

For some, Easter is a fun and memorable day. However, for other people Easter maybe a bad memory. It may be a reminder a loss of a loved one who they may desperately miss.

I am assuming that when the disciples found out of Jesus's death, they probably cried and we're really sad. Remember the Story of Lazarus? When Jesus was at his side and Lazarus died Jesus did something kind of unexpected from him but expected from his human side. Jesus wept.

Jesus was sad because the original plan was not to have death, not have suffering, not to have disease, and not to be crying with sadness. However, because Adam and Eve sinned, death is now possible.

But, be encouraged because of what Jesus did, the curtain was torn, death was banished.  Jesus took away our sins forever and we will spend eternity with Jesus Christ! The Easter Story is our Hope to the person who has been devastated by Death.

Encouraging thought of the day:

Do you need help with anything? Ask God. He will help you.

Revelation 21:4 ESV

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

John 11:25 ESV

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live,

John 6:40 ESV

For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”
