Does Prayer Work?

Here's another million dollar question. Right? Well, the way I will answer that is by simply saying "sometimes." Honeys, please remember I'm not God and I don't know everything. I don't know what did happen in the past of all our lives. I don't know what is happening in everyone's present as of right now. And, I certainly do not know what will be happening in our future.

So, when it comes to my thoughts about prayer working, well, I myself believe that my prayers are always answered. I guess it depends on how you define "working." To reiterate, I believe God hears our prayers and will answer them. He will answer them according to his will. Now, please understand that his answer, according to his will, may or may not fall favorably to our own will.

So, I will say this. If you have a prayer request or prayer need, then I definitely will suggest lifting up that prayer to God. Tell him exactly what you want out of your prayer need, but make sure you also let him know that the ball is in his court AKA you would only like your prayer request to result only as God wills it.

Believe you me, that is what makes prayer somewhat difficult to fathom or follow through with. However, the ending result of your prayer, again, may sometimes be what you want. And, if it isn't, doesn't it say in God's word that he will give us strength to persevere?

Encouraging Thought of the Day:

Be thankful that God provided us with search engines like Google. What would we do if we aren't sure about anything?!?!

Deuteronomy 31:6 ESV

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

Isaiah 41:10 ESV

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

James 1:12 ESV

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
