Feeling jealous about someone or something can sometimes, well maybe most times end up with pretty bad results. For example, I know of a loved one who committed adultery and this is what happened. The spouse was so hurt by this person's unfaithfulness. This person shot the other spouse and then shot the other person involved and then shot their own self. I know of a similar story but the end result didn't end with the shooter committing suicide, just going to jail.
The other two adultery stories have ended pretty badly as well. Good thing it's not as tragic as death, just jail. The other way jealousy can run rampant is if they're jealous of other people's things. Bible says Thou shall not covet neighbor's spouse or things. Folks, we really should try super hard to stay away and turn off any feelings of jealousy we may have. The power of jealousy will most likely make people covet other people's lovers or things that they love! Basically will end up usually with a bad outcome. :-(
James 3:16
For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.
