I am talking about the look on our face that we show other people. I myself really struggle with that. I mean, I struggle with having a happy face. When my face is sad looking, I know that my husband will sincerely feel sorry for me. I know it frustrates him because he always wants to turn that frown upside down. However, he can't sometimes, and that is what annoys him. I'm thinking that feeling is not only coming from my husband but, probably all of us, as well, at some point in our lives.
I'm thinking I just really need to thank God for creating me to be an actress. I am able to turn that frown upside down in an instant. I know it's not real, but think about it. I'm not the first one who disguised their look of sadness. Jesus did right?
On the night before his crucifixion, Jesus told Peter that he would deny him three times before the rooster crowed. Peter told the Lord that he would never deny him. And, what did he do? He did exactly what Jesus said he was going to do. He did not do it once, but three times!!!
When Jesus was on his way to his death, he ended up seeing Peter in the crowd. He locked eyes with Peter. He had a look of sadness, I don't know about you guys but I probably would have a look like, "I told you so! You are a punk! Thank you for denying me 3 times! You just validated my prediction!" Well, the Bible doesn't say anything about Jesus looking like angry or mad when he saw Peter again.
After Jesus died and then rose again he wanted to see his disciples. He specifically said including Peter. Wow, what would you do when you see the person who betrayed you? Not Jesus. Jesus is all about love. Shouldn't we be all about love too!?
Encouraging thought of the day:
How about telling somebody you love them?
Peter Denies Jesus: Luke 22:54-62
