Different Ways

It's really awesome and such a blessing when others share their stories of getting saved by Jesus.  It's the stories of how He became their personal Lord and savior. Really, it's different with everybody!

Perhaps, one decided to take the time and listen very attentively to the story of Christ and the gospel message. One would decide to do that because maybe their lives are totally in shambles right now and they're at the brink of death?!

Maybe the thought of Christ and going to church came to them in a dream. Or, maybe, a family member or even the pastor of a girlfriend's Church took the time and invited the boyfriend to come over to their house for some Krispy Kreme donuts and Nutcracker tea and share the gospel with him after they had their little afternoon delicacy? Just a thought. :-)

I remember one church service we had a guest speaker. He used to practice Islam and he converted to Christianity. Why you ask? I actually do not remember exactly the words he said. However I do remember him explaining it was through a dream. I'll see if I can do some research and attach the story to my writing today.

Like I said some of these stories are pretty outrageous. But, most importantly it will catch our eyes and catch our ears in coming to embrace Christ as our personal Lord and savior.

You know what Bible story comes to mind? The story of Thomas. Doubting Thomas was what they called him. This man refused to believe in Jesus unless he was able to put his hands on the holes that crucified him! Thomas actually got what he asked for. Now, the question you should ask yourself is are you like Thomas? Is Jesus going to appear to you so that you can believe and touch the holes of where he was crucified? That, I don't know.  He is God he can do anything.

He did that before, yes, but my deep thoughts are he's not going to do that again. But like I said, you never know. He is God! I'm thinking now, it's all about faith. That's what I feel in my heart. That's what I read in the Bible.  It's all about faith. I challenge you to ask yourself, do you have faith in Jesus Christ? You should.

Encouraging thought of the day:

After seeing the gun that Craig had. He said something to the effect of "All you need are your two fists. You win some you lose some, but you live."  Pops, from the movie Friday.

John 20:24-29New International Version (NIV)
Jesus Appears to Thomas

24 Now Thomas (also known as Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!”

But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”

26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”

28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”

29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
