We may hear a lot of people say that they sympathize with whatever trouble we may be going through. However there probably would be a limited amount of people that would be able to say that they can emphathize with us. Are there really even the one person that can say that? Is there really even one person that can say that?
Excuse me pause break. What a nice man. So my first cup of hot water I got this morning was cooling off so my hands were freezing. Caregiver wasn't here yet cuz its was only 7. So there was this man who was super nice guy, Taylor, and I asked him if he can get me hot water he did and, of course, I gave him one of my cards so he can be encouraged. Taylor, I pray you will be encouraged by the writings!
Okay back to the writing. So yeah, it's kind of difficult to be able to empathize with people. That is totally understandable and makes perfect sense. Like, for example with me, it's not everyday or every hour or maybe not even every week or every month not even every year or every many years (I'm thinking you understand what I'm saying) that I meet somebody who also has Multiple Sclerosis. No, I don't usually meet somebody else suffering from the disease unless I go to one of those MS dinners or like MS action day or MS Walk or something.
Of course, I appreciate when others show their sympathy towards me. And, share some tips they might have heard about that will help me deal with my discomforts. To those people, please understand when there's attitude behind their accepting of your advice.
Personally, I've been in those type of situations. I will say my next sentence in the nicest way possible. Please understand there will be no attitude whatsoever. What I want to say is if you do not suffer from MS you don't know exactly what we MS patients go through on a daily basis. Even people who would actually suffer with the disease of multiple sclerosis may not know exactly what I'm going through. They have their own stuff and I have my own stuff. I have a friend named Therese that is in her sixties who have MS as long as I have and she walks, she drives, she swims, and she can still do stuff normal people can do, but there are other things she can't do. I don't walk, I don't drive, I can't swim, and I am younger than Therese. She told me that there is not one single person with MS that have the same symptoms as another person with MS. Did you guys know that? There are little similarity here in there, but not exactly to the point. I think that's why it is so difficult to find a cure for this evil disease called multiple sclerosis.
Excuse me pause again. Yeah you guessed it my hot water was no longer hot. Another super nice guy was sitting at the same spot as the first guy and I asked if he can get me another hot water. He gladly helped me out and was also surprised I was able to get the spelling of his name when I told him I was going to give him a shout out. Milos, I pray you will be encouraged by my writings and start the day with encouragement! Oh and yesterday I gave my caregiver a card and she gave my card to a lady on the train so shout out to Nicole Johnson.
Hope you be encouraged by my writings. So friends, if you didn't know before I am telling you now empathy is some pretty powerful stuff. I think that God can totally take on the trait of having empathy. Folks, he knows exactly what you going thru, he can feel exactly what you going thru. When you're happy he feels joy with you. When you're sad he is crying with you and for you. When our heart breaks so does his.
Encouraging thought of the day:
No matter what you are going through God is there with us!
