Do you believe that? I mean do you really believe that the more you pray and even the more people you have praying for you will really affect whether or not the prayer will be answered. Well, let Me share my thoughts on that.
Yes, I do believe it's good to have many people pray for you. I think God likes it when people speak to Him. Especially, when He knows the people who speak to him have faith that God can answer the prayer requests, according to His will. I don't believe that means the prayer will always be answered with your desired outcome. But, that does not mean, people should stop praying to Him, because you may get surprised and find that your prayer need you have been praying so long for will be answered. Only God knows that.
Let me share an example from my own life. Sometimes, before I do my injection treatment for my MS, I feel like the Lord would like me to ask for prayer from praying friends. So, I will contact who I feel I should contact. It ranges from a select few to many people to maybe just one person. So, I contact them and ask them if they would pray my shot goes well, doesn't hurt, etc.
Then I do my shot, and two things may happen. It was excruciating pain or maybe I felt no pain at all. Do I believe that the pain would have been lessened if I had more people praying? Nope, it's kinda hard to comprehend, but we pray and pray and pray, but the end result is always what The Lord wills. And, one thing I know is that The Lord promises strength to endure the pain.you believe that,?Philippians 4:13 says, I can do ALL things through Christ who gives me strength! What a beautiful and encouraging verse right?!
I actually had my shot last night, and I really didn't feel like asking friends for prayer for it. Every time, before my shot Joe prays for me, for no pain during the injection and no crappy feelings the day after. Last night, my injection was pretty painful and today I woke up feeling ok, but now yup I'm feeling pretty crappy. What am I going to do? I think right now, I feel like just asking The Lord to help me feel better, Lord willing. See, I think one thing we all need to understand is that God is not a genie. And, I truly believe we should still pray to him and talk to Him. But, I cannot stress enough how important it is, I believe to tell God, that the ball.is in his court, aka His will be done!
