Walking Together

Believe it or not, I used to walk super fast like my mom because I am the daughter of a speed walker, my mom. Seriously, people would tell me to slow down sometimes. People today always tell me to slow down.  Unfortunately, they tell me to slow down for other reasons.  Now, I think people want to tell me to hurry up when it comes to walking. Doing  things like stirring what I am cooking, buttoning or zipping shirts, or picking up what I dropped on the floor.  That 'slow down Sam' is really for completing the activity successfully or just making sure of my safety.

I do try my best to keep myself protected from accidents or hurting myself. I do!  It may not look like it because sometimes people tell me to be super careful when they see me walking like a woman who looks intoxicated.  I hold on to my pink cane.  I named it Bob.  Don't ask.  It's just fun to say really (thanks AMTC!). Anyway, if I am with my husband, I hold on to him with one arm and Bob on the other.  ( not a pimp...womp womp :) lol My husband is pretty intelligent so if he senses danger, he will do all he can to keep me from falling.  When I just have Bob,  I myself have to keep my eyes wide open and ears have to really be on the listen for danger! Bob is a great help, but besides just being a cane, Bob wouldn't be able to sense danger if it was in my near future.

Where is this going you say? Well I guess like I choose to always have assistance with my walking,  I know God is always with me when I am walking.  If I sense danger in any way,  I'll call out for God and he always helps me. Friend, he never will let go once you give Him the invite to live in your heart.  I may not be able to walk comfortably now without assistance, but the verse below is pretty comforting to me!
He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. (‭1 John‬ ‭2‬:‭6‬ KJV)
