Doubting God Is From The Evil One!

I want to share some thoughts from  my morning devotional this morning. I was reading a devotional by Greg Laurie. He addressed a very interesting topic I know some people have thought about.  And that is " Doubt." Please open up your mind as you read this writing.

Before, I came to know Christ as my personal savior, I was very not knowledgeable aka a nice way of saying stupid, when it came to knowing the ins and outs of my own faith, Christianity.  I am sure there were people who saw me and were confused about my faith.  I actually was having wrong thinking. I thought that if I didn't have enough good deeds to compensate or overshadow my bad deeds, then I was screwed and losing my salvation other wise known as- not going to Heaven when I die.

Do you remember when the serpent told Eve, 'Did God really say don't eat any fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil?" That is what God said but the serpent was putting doubt in their minds!  I see it like this God said in John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.  So, shouldn't we believe that? Any doubts would be from the evil one right? So, we need to carefully shake that thought off and out of our minds!

It says if we believe, we will spend eternity in Heaven! God didn't say anything in His word, like "if you do this you will be banished!" No, we have a God that loves us! All He wants is to have a personal relationship with us! We sin and do wrong all the time, but did you know that if we confess our sins to Him He will forgive us! Isn't God pretty awesome?

Proverbs 3:5-8 ESV

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the

Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.

Genesis‬ ‭3‬:‭1-3‬ ESV

Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?” And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, but God said, ‘You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’

James 1:6 ESV

But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.

Matthew 21:21 ESV

And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.
