Christians, We Need To...

Romans 10:14 New International Version (NIV)

How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?

Let me ask you a question. Are you one that likes to talk?  Let me rephrase and say is talking like second nature to you? Let me rephrase that again and say do some people ever just prefer you shut up? For lack of a nicer way to put it.

Before I forget, and I know I said it before but I'll say it again because it happened again. If you see the writing has crazy bizarre words or the punctuation is messed up or whatever please stop reading. Wait a few minutes or maybe the end of the day and then go back to the reading. Remember, I have to preview it sometimes because that is the only way I can properly view it so I can edit the writing. My fingers feel so weak, I need to wait till I get home so I can lay on my stomach and read my writing again. Just wanted to tell you guys if you see that my writing is horrendous. I know  well hope you all know that from seeing past writings  I'm not a crazy writer. LOL Okay back to my reading for the day.

Or, maybe you were like my husband. Joe talks and stuff but I don't think he enjoys talking to people if he is not being spoken to or has anything to say himself. He definitely does not like to talk to strangers if he doesn't have to. I have known my husband long enough and I have seen him do things to revert back to his comfort zone to avoid talking to a stranger.

I don't mind talking. I'm a people person. I think that God created his people with different gifts and comfort zones.

And, no matter what those gifts are, if you are a true Born Again Christian believer you should know that you should use whatever gift you have, to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Personally, for me I truly believe the Lord blessed me with the spiritual gift of exhortation. AKA encouragement. So, what am I supposed to do with that now? I totally believe that I need to begin with that gift and slowly but surely create an opportunity to present the gospel to our friend.

Yes, I like talking and meeting strangers. If I feel the knock to my head aka the Holy Spirit telling my heart that this is a golden opportunity to share the gospel with the person, I know that it is time to utilize the spiritual gift. It is time to try to share the gospel.

You all know I like to talk. However, when I share the gospel I think my drive is 75% passion and the rest wisdom of the word of God. So, that is when my husband comes in or my pastor. My husband is my spiritual leader so I need to truly listen and follow what he says. I compare our relationship to that of Moses and Aaron. Yes, I am the one that speaks, but when questions are difficult and I don't know how to answer them and I am stumped, that is when my husband comes in. I am blessed to have such a strong, smart, and wise spiritual leader in my husband.

I guess what I'm trying to get at is choose whatever gift you have to share the gospel. I am a writerr amongst other things. Hence, my Deep Thoughts From Samantha blog. My husband is an artist. An unbelievable and gifted artist and sometimes he is asked to draw the graphic for the church bulletin!

Encouraging thought of the day:

Time to move your cheek muscles around Smile For The Stranger!
