Wouldn't our world be filled with a majority of nice people if everyone followed the rules? You know what I am saying? Do you always follow the rules? I mean all of them? I got you thinking now right?
Well, personally for me, I know I don't always follow the rules. I'm talking about following God's rules and the rules of the world. I know I can say right now that there are tons of people that do not follow God's rules. I also would say and confess that I don't follow the rules of the world, sometimes as well.
And, that is definitely not good. First of all, following the rules of the world is actually following God's rules. And we need to obey. Even if we don't like the person or we don't like their rules. If they are in the seat of being the authority, we have to follow them. Unless of course, it's against the law of God, whatever they want us to do. I think it's a good thing that we do have rules given to us to follow. Otherwise, our world would be very chaotic. For example if there were no rules of the road? I'm thinking well then there would definitely be more injured drivers or deceased drivers. Right?
Did you know we have a "just' God? That means he will allow Justice. in his time. Meaning, in God's time people will eventually get what they deserve . People will get what was coming to them. God always provides the right thing and will give those who did bad the punishment they deserve. For example do you ever notice people who do bad things that don't get punished right away? We seriously do not have to worry about those people because our mighty God remembers what was done. And remember, we have a just God.
That was nice, so the Holy Spirit told me to give the next person who steps on the tile floor by me a card. So I did that and I talked to him. His name was Patrick and he was so nice, oh my gosh. So I gave him a card and I pray that you will be encouraged by the writings, Patrick. Then, minutes later the Holy Spirit struck my heart again. So, I offered the card to this other guy! His name was Michael. And he was so nice as well! So, Michael and Patrick start your day with encouragement!
And, I was approached by this other lady named Tawana. I met her last week and she stopped and said hi to me. She said she noticed I wasn't at Starbucks for a few days. I told her I just didn't go to Starbucks for a few days because of a personal problem. Then, of course I asked her to refill my hot water for my cold hands. Thanks again Tawana! Oh, one more thing. So, because I didn't come to Starbucks for a while I haven't gotten my free drink yet. Last time I was there I paid for a drink and never received it. So the boss told me next time I get a drink it will be free.
So, that day was the day I came back and was going to claim my free drink. There was a new barista named Jordan. And of course, I gave her a card. So, Jordan I pray that you will be encouraged by the writings. Finally, there was this other girl who I felt like I needed to speak with. So, I talked to her. She's so nice and I asked her if she could get my hot water for me and of course I gave her a card. Marissa, I pray that you will be encouraged by my writings as well. So nice to meet you!
Encouraging thought of the day:
We are lights or God. Is it time to turn us on?
Hebrews 13:17 ESV
Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you.
Titus 3:1 ESV
Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work,
