Freedom To Worship

Do you believe in Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior? What exactly are your thoughts regarding what will happen after you die? I am thinking maybe you never thought about that. Right? Or, maybe you're scared to think about that? Maybe, the thought really never came to your mind and you just don't care? Well, let me share some of my deep thoughts.

Well, my first deep thought is, first of all, you should not be scared. You really do not have to be. So don't be.  You know what makes God pretty darn awesome? Well among many other things, that is. For this morning's reading I want to focus on God and his choice to give all of us people that he loves, free will. Friends, we have the choice whether we want to believe in Jesus and serve him or if we don't.

See friends, God is not going to force you to believe in him. He will give you the choice to decide whether you want to worship him or not. Now, the bible does say there are severe consequences if we choose incorrectly AKA hell! But, remember God is letting you make that decision for yourself!

Honestly, it does boggle my mind a little bit that God doesn't just use his powers to force people to believe in him. I mean he is God. Why doesn't he just do that? I repeat, I mean he is God right?  The God that can do anything!

Well, let me share my Deep Thoughts with you. God loves us so much and he gave us the free will to choose, especially including choosing who we want to  worship.

It's scary because there are just so many false religions out there. I can imagine God being so sad when he sees his people falling into those false religions.  Are you guys following one of those false religions? Or are you following the truth that will set you free!

John 8:32 ESV

And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

John 14:6 ESV

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Proverbs 16:9 ESV

The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.
