What am I talking about? Let me give a scenario. Picture this. You want to go to a party but you know there is going to be a lot of drinking, possibly drugs. Another scenario is you are a few seconds away from committing adultery with your best friend and destroying your marriage with your husband or wife. Another scenario that is not as extreme, is you are again a few seconds away from telling a lie to your mom and dad about where you were last night.
With all those scenarios I mentioned, you know in your heart what the right thing to do is. And, something may be convicting your heart like crazy. You know why that is? You know what's going on? You know what is up with the feelings of uneasiness?
God is interfering with what you want to do in life. I think because of God's interfering that turns most people off when it comes to having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Do you know what I mean?
When a person decides to follow Jesus Christ, they will find that Christ will interfere with their life. Usually, it is for a good cause. Because God is a good God. However, as humans, choosing to do the right thing is where it gets difficult.
Are you guys like me and end up feeling really bad because of such-and-such reason? Then, do you end up thinking that why is God making you feel bad? I confess I used to think like that. We need to know that the whole making us feel bad part for doing stuff is from the evil one.
Let me say it again so it will really stick in your noggin. Doesn't it really seem that way sometimes? You know we feel like God likes to make us feel bad. Maybe if he makes us feel bad we will entertain the sin. No! No way God does not work like that. If you feel bad that's because of you. God is not going to manipulate us in any way. That thought is the job of Satan. So, please watch out.
In closing, I would like to say it does seem like God interferes doesn't it? And, that is exactly what he is doing in our lives. If we let him into our lives he's going to interfere. When God does it, I would say it's for a good thing. But there is also the evil one out there also ready to interfere in our lives. I guess the real question is are you okay with God interfering in your life?
