Deep Thoughts On The Bible Story of Habakkuk Part 3 Conclusion: His Prayer To God

One thing from this chapter that we can see was that Habakkuk prayed to God. What exactly did this Prophet Habakkuk pray for? Let's look deeper into this.

This Prophet, Habakkuk, prayed for Revival. Something we all should be praying for, really. He prayed particularly for Revival for himself. I don't know about you guys and your hearts but I wouldn't mind having a Revival for myself. I want to have the feeling before when I first accepted Christ and I truly was on fire for God!

I love what Bible scholar David Guzik said. Be encouraged by this.
"Here is something man can and must do for revival - simply cry out to God and plead for His reviving work."
Isn't that the truth?!

Let's take this verse from Chapter 3 of The Bible story of Habakkuk.
"LORD, revive me."
We too often blame the church for sin, " Let me ask you guys this is this sound strangely familiar to you guys? Hmm?

Now, personally for me the answer is yes. It sounds so familiar because I fell for it. I know of people who have fallen deep in it and totally blame the church. And, where are they now? I have no idea. I have no idea if they're even going to church. Once you leave your family church without God's saying to your heart, it's okay to look for another church, the routine is maybe Church shopping for a little bit, maybe attending a any church for a little bit, but it never ends up to be permanent. Or if it does, remember did the Lord even give his permission to leave your family church?

Well for me personally, since I stopped attending and serving at the church the Lord wanted me to be at, I fell away from God. I fell away from God for years! You know how I came back? The Lord allowed me and woke me up because I wasn't the same health-wise anymore. I'm not saying the Lord gave me MS cuz he's a good guy and he would never do that, but he allowed it. I'm guessing the evil one and God might have had a long talk You know like he did in the story where Satan asked God if he can like totally mess with Job? Anyway that story came to my mind right now. LOL that's just a thought. I have no idea if Satan and God had this kind of conversation. All I know is that I'm actually thankful even though it kind of stinks for what he allowed to happen to me. I'm very thankful because it actually brought me back to him.

Now that's my own personal story. That is how I came back to God. Now I'm serving him by this blog everyday. And, also serving him in other ways as well. My purpose in life is to bring out the glory of God for those who are lost, those who are blinded from the truth, to see the greatness of God!

I hope my personal example will be an encouragement for you all. Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Psalm 85:6 ESV

Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?

Psalm 80:19 ESV

Restore us, O Lord God of hosts! Let your face shine, that we may be saved!

Isaiah 57:15 ESV

For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.
