Alabaster Box

Happy Tuesday! What a nice man named Steve I met this morning. Brandice wasn't here yet and after I finished my makeup this morning, it was time for another cup of hot water. Steve helped me out! Steve, I pray that you will be encouraged by my reading and Prayer for your friend Melanie too!

Okay, well first off, again I want to ask for prayer! Will you guys please pray for my caregiver Brandice's mom? She is going to be having open heart surgery. We know that God has her back. We claim that in Jesus' name!

Alright, I'm going to write a little bit about love. How exactly would you define love? Think about that for a second.

Dirt. Do you think that dirty things define love? I'm not too fond of Dirt. My husband, on the other hand, really hates dirt. Seriously, dirt is like Joe's Kryptonite.

And, me having uncontrollable fingers, uncooperative feet and legs and other muscles, daily phlegm and mucus that gets stuck in my throat and needs to be spit out.... All that stuff usually ends up somehow being messy.

We can either welcome the mess and be mindful that we can always clean it up. Or we can just get mad. I don't think Jesus would want us to get mad though. It's kind of like we're getting mad at something the Lord allowed to happen. I mean maybe doubting God's will? Are we thinking he does not know what he is doing?

Last night me and my husband were reading our One Year Bible. I know right. I have not mentioned anything about that in a while. That is because yes we have kind of been slacking off, but we're back on track now.:-) So, we were reading the book of Numbers. And, in our devotional it was giving the reminder of when Jesus' feet was being washed by some woman.

  • Basically, a normal everyday woman a sinner saw Jesus. She had loved him so much. And, she wanted him to know that. You know what this woman did? She washed Jesus' feet with her tears and then wiped them with her hair and covered his feet in perfume. Did I mention that the feet of Jesus were pretty dirty? This woman loved Jesus so much that she didn't care about the dirt. She just kept kissing his feet.

Jesus saw how loving this woman was and he appreciated that. When she was done he told the woman to go and her faith has healed her.
