Check this out. I wasn't sure about what to write about this morning. Then, my friend, Donna sent me a Facebook message with some words from the devotion this morning. I totally felt it was God telling me to write about this!
When I got to Starbucks this morning things were going normally. I was done with my make-up, and after putting everything away, my water was getting cool. So, I asked this gentleman by me if he can get me some hot water. Then he says that he will tell people in the front. Then later after that, I tried to give him a card. He says no that's okay. So, that was a failure and was pretty discouraging.
I'm not going to let anything get me down, even more, this morning. Right? See, even when the evil one was really trying to get my mind distracted, I'm not going to let that bother me. Not to the point where I'm not going to be able to do my writing. Remember my mission is to encourage you, people!
So, I guess I was not meant to give a card to that guy. How sad because everybody needs encouragement! I hope all of you readers enjoy reading my stuff and are getting encouraged daily!
- Okay, let's do this! Today in my Daily Bread devotional I had read about failing words. Honeychild! This girl Samantha is very familiar with failing words. Life involving my phone or the computer, especially this blog , basicaly anything that would involve some type of voice to text would usually be a big-time error. Maybe they would result in very offensive words, words that I am so far away from actually saying, crazy words with negatively outrageous grammar and very incorrect punctuation.
I remember 1 time I was texting my Auntie Juney. I have no idea what I was actually trying to say. But, what she received was a text about my brother and heroin. Good thing she was cracking up about it rather than being upset. First of all, I'm an only child. And, I have never even seen heroin. Well, maybe watching it on TV.
How do you think it goes when we are praying to Our Father and we are just not making any sense? Well for me I have no doubt in my mind, God, will know what we're talking about despite the gibberish. Remembe he knows what's in our heart. He just knows!
I have my own personal electronic notepad typing on Evernote. I have it on my phone. There are times I will include some prayers or just anything I really need to remember or just praises to our Heavenly Father! Sometimes my voice to text on this file sounds a little cray cray!
Pause break. Thank you so much, Maha! She was this nice lady who was in line and my water was getting cold. So, I asked her for some hot water. Girl, thank you for the hot water and I pray that you will be encouraged by the writings! And, I totally needed that this morning to override what happened with the guy who didn't want to accept the card. Thank you, Maha! Such a cool name! Love meeting new people here at Starbucks! I learn new cool names!
As I was saying voice to text Cray Cray. Boy, am I lucky when people know what I'm trying to say when I say stuff so wrong. You know what I'm thinking about right now? Us wives as I said in my reading the other day we do really need to think before we speak.
The other day my husband asked me what I wanted for lunch. I said I don't care. Because honestly I didn't care. If I wanted something I would have said what restaurant I wanted. However, through the years I found out that saying, " I don't care'' was pretty much a "Fail"
So, thank God for telling my heart to ask him this. "Babe, what is it you want me to say in place of I don't care?" He told me to say something like, " I will be okay with whatever you choose. "
Wow that was it? That's all I would have to say? Sounds pretty simple I think. If I rearrange my words and say stuff that will save ourselves from bickering and arguing? Done! Now, I need to pray that I will always remember to say that. And, pray that my husband will extend grace when I do forget.
I get it. Definitely begin with a smile on your face. Then it's like we are giving control to our husband. That is what God designed the husband for. He's there for us to provide and we need to give him total control. This is what God wants folks!
Sorry for getting a little sidetracked. LOL Well, no it kind of makes sense because if you speak to your husband with the wrong words, they will be a total fail. So, I guess the "think before you speak" commenting is very significant and a must do type of thing. Put out the bad words discouragug words or just any word that will make them sad, mad, frustrated, or annoyed. Any of the like. Any negativity!
