Evil Looks For These

I don't think I'm the only one in this world that struggles with things. I'm not going to share what it is specifically that I struggle with. But, I am going to say that it sucks! Big time! Let's take some examples and just throw them out there. 

A. God wants us to be loving and kind with all people.

Instead, we struggle with being harsh, mean talking down to people. Is that you?

B. God does not want us to use his name in vain.

Instead, we struggle with that habit of using God's name in vain. Perhaps, this is you?

C. Some big things our God does not want us to do is kill, or steal other people's belongings.

Instead some of us may have this unexplainable internal anger inside of us that loves to kill people. Or, we have this deadly nature in us that makes the thief inside of us want to come out.

I'm positive there are many more things. But those are just a few that just came out the top of my head. Speaking of which I have a bad headache this morning, prayer please!

As I was saying, so those are just some examples of bad stuff. You or me can be vulnerable to those things!  And, you know who loves bad stuff! So on one side, people may be praying to God for help in lessening or making those bad stuff that we are vulnerable to doing disappear. Then, on the other side, Satan and all his evil demons know what makes people vulnerable. So, the evil one likes to take your vulnerabilities and find ways to fall into temptation. Evil wants us to end up committing a sin. Do you understand what I mean?

I'll give an example. Perhaps, you are someone who is trying not to fall off the wagon, and have a drink. You have been sober for 7 years. And, suddenly your friend that you haven't seen in awhile calls you and asked if you wanted to go to hangout and go to the bar. You tell this person, you don't want to drink. The person says they don't have to drink. So you decide to go.

Fast forward to you at the bar. Of course, there are so many people drunk or just drinking right next to you. Remember, Satan is right there and he knows your vulnerabilities. I would not be able to tell you if the person will fall into temptation and do what they are not supposed to do. However, I know that Satan would probably be there whispering in that person's ear about getting a drink or whatever. Or, maybe the evil is whispering in your friends ear to talk to you about getting that drink. I don't know. That could happen though!

So, yeah I stand by what I say and believe that Satan does look for those vulnerabilities in people. Because, he knows people are weak and from those vulnerabilities they can give birth to sin. 

Be encouraged, because there is Victory if you choose to have it. The Lord Jesus knows even more than we know about our vulnerabilities. Friends, when we sense the evil one trying to tempt us by using our vulnerabilities, that is the time to use in the name of Jesus to make evil go away from you! We are victorious in the name of Jesus!
