Pray more? You think?

You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.

Happy Tuesday Deep Thoughts readers. It was funny and pretty evident what it is, God wants me to write about this morning. Let me explain. Like most mornings, I was going down my list of potential writings. And I came across one subject, I felt like I wanted to write about. Then, all of a sudden

"Alexa," my echo dot says my reminder for the morning prayer, and usually have with my husband." I'm reminding you pray." Isn't that funny? Because, that was what I was thinking about writing about!

Do you guys pray? Let me guess. You don't have time to pray!? My thought is if you enjoyed or believed in prayer then of course you would rearrange things and make time for it. Greg Laurie shared an interesting fact from a study he found. " "Research says that people in the United States check their social media accounts 17 times per day, which is about once every waking hour. Teens spend 9 hours everyday eating up social media." To that, I say wow and I'm also thinking that is not a surprising statistic to me. Are you guys shocked by that?

Just imagine, if those kind of Statistics went to how much people prayed to God? We would be a "Praying Nation'" instead of a social media ation! Seriously, in his word he says ask and you will receive. So if more people ask for good things to happen and for bad things to stop happening, who knows maybe bad things will stop happening, because God says in his word he listens and, doesn't it also say that there's power in prayer. So, the more people pray, then the more powerful it will be. Right?

To me, life is a lot easier when we pray. I'm not saying we still don't go through hardships. Because yea, God will still allow those which is bad to happen in our lives. However, he will also allow things which are good to happen in our lives as well. And for that, I give him praise!

We just never know what it is he will do.
Fellow Christians, let's not use "not having time," as an excuse not to pray. Would you admit this? You probably choose not to pray because you don't think it's that important. If prayer is not important, then why did Jesus pray so much? Think about that one.

Do you know what God's will is for your life. Are you asking him? Member James has in his word ask and you will receive. John Piper, put it like this " one of the great uses of Twitter and Facebook will be to prove at the Last Day that prayerlessness is not from lack of time "
