Don't you all hate that!? I am sure we all have our own personal definitions of our own little or big crisis. No matter what the size of the crisis, it doesn't matter to God. He'll say Bring It On!
Ok, I'm going through a little crisis right now. I say little but of course since its brand new, to me it's huge! Ok, so I copied text off an email that I wanted to save. I transferred it over to a brand new email I was about to compose. When I pasted it, it was not the text that I thought I copied earlier! It was a recipe! I said okay, that's fine I deleted it but it should still be there. Trash says they usually don't fully delete it until 30 days.
So, I go back and it's gone! What the heck? That is what I'm wondering. Yeah, my deep thought is I am in a total crisis. I thought if you put email in the trash it takes 30 days to fully delete out! Okay, not to worry is what I feel the Lord is putting in my heart.
So, I feel that the Lord wants me to start my writing and check later if maybe the email was just delayed going in the trash file. So, now I am here doing my writing. I will check it later and if it is there then amen. If it is not there then still amen! You know, at least the Lord provided me to be able to get my other emails that were deleted in the past but even though not in its entirety, it is something!
You better believe when that happened earlier and I saw that it was not in my trash, I was praying like crazy! Thinking back on it I was praying like crazy, just repeating it over and over again Lord please make me find the email repeatedly and over and over again!
There is a percentage that God may answer my prayer exactly the way I wanted it to be answered. But, I guess I have to realize that there is also a percentage that God may choose not to answer my prayer the way I want it to be answered. But, the answer will be the way God wanted it to be answered. We all need to be encouraged that God does always answer prayer! It just may not be the way we wanted it to be answered and it
just may not be the time we wanted it to be answered. However, it was exactly the way God wanted it to be answered. And it will be exactly at the time God wanted it to be answered!
God answers them the way he wants them to be answered. He answers our prayers so it will be for our good. He answers them in a way that will reveal himself more to us. Even till now, that is just a difficult thing to internalize daily or by the second.... I guess But, we need to do that because God says that he is our refuge in times of trouble.
Greg Laurie says that "prayer is an amazing privilege that God has given to each of us." It's been said somewhere that if you've been swept off your feet, it is time to get on your knees! I have a little plaque hanging on my wall in my bedroom that says " Prayer and I just noticed right now because Joe told me it says going through it when life gets too hard to stand... Kneel. He even took a picture for me so I can see it up close and clear. I never noticed that. I just noticed prayer. You know I have weird eyes remember? Very cool that Joe told me that right now when I'm doing my writing on prayer LOL I stand by what I say. All right, actually for me, I sit by what I say. And, that is God definitely has a sense of humor! :-)
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble
