Once You're Married

"For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother an4d be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh."

—Ephesians 5:31

Happy Labor Day! My guess is probably most of you all don't have work today. Yesterday, our loved ones had a get together to introduce their new home. Beautiful, it was! It was all the way in Plainfield, Illinois. Before going to the house, Joe and I had a few errands and stuff so we ended up stopping by Walgreens in Plainfield.

When we got to our cashier, the Holy Spirit was really tugging at my heart and I was feeling like wanting to give the lady a card! So, that's exactly what I did! And, I'm glad that I did because she was very nice and very accepting of the card. Deja, I pray that you will be encouraged by my writings and other links! Have a wonderful day! And, please don't forget to subscribe!

I read an interesting Deep Thoughtfrom Pastor Greg Laurie, in one of my devotions before. It quickly caught my attention because it was directed toward married couples. There were 2 words he used and said married couples needed to do.They are, not verbatim but similar context, ( to be apart from then be a part of).

See, before Joe and I got married our parents and siblings were our top priority. When we got married, our primary responsibility was to each otherMy husband was my top priority.

As I am his two priority.

Of course, you still should honor your parents, but not sure how to explain it. A certain separation needs to happen from your parents and you.

Basically, once you're married it's a new relationship and a new family that emerges.

Folks, if your priorities lie elsewhere, it will be so bad for your marriage. Bottom line is the Lord main commands 4 we married couples to follow. And, believe me you do not want to see what happens when you go against those commands.

"This means giving other relationships lesser degrees of importance.",( Pastor Greg Laurie)

I don't know why but it feeling like the Lord wants me to share this song.

I really hope it
makes someone smile.
I really do.
