this nice lady Maria came out of nowhere and opened my straw. So, thank you girl and I pray that you will be encouraged by the writings. Have a wonderful day!
If you guys are devoted followers on this Blog, then you've read about me having, "Dysphagia." Basically, it's difficulty swallowing and if you want the full details of how it affects me, send me a message. Yes, it is in part due to multiple sclerosis. Those muscles in my throat are not getting the correct messages from the brain because the pathway's distorted.
So, yeah, I think years after my diagnosis, I really could care less about drinking. I imagine for normal people it just goes straight down your throat, then everything's all good. But for me, I have to make sure I swallow correctly because I have dysphagia. L And, if I don't swallow correctly, I might profusely start coughing. That means that the water is going down my breathing tubes and that's not good. It might cause pneumonia. Did you all know that pneumonia is the leading cause of death with MS patients? I know, I just found that out too from my Doctor who ordered my swallow study, So I went through that adventure. Praise God everything is all good, pretty much. Mostly. So, yeah that pretty much explains why I don't really like to drink much. I guess I don't really get thirsty when it comes to the physical sense.
Now, when it comes to Spiritual Living Water from Jesus, he promises that when you drink from that you will never thirst again.
You "normal people" know what it is like to be physically thirsty. Your mouth goes dry, your throat is parched, your strength fades and you crave some type of liquid. How satisfying it is to drink when you are thirsty huh?
To be spiritually thirsty is to be dried up inside, to feel totally empty and stuff like that. So I'm trying to remember that feeling. Because remember, I don't really get thirsty.
I think of the "woman at the well" story. Remember she was the Samaritan woman, and Jesus was not and he was asking her for water at the well. Then he said the water that he had to give her would make her never thirst again.

I want to end my writing today with a funny story with me and my caregiver yesterday. So, she knows I don't like to drink water. She helps me drink more by telling me when I should drink. Obviously, since I'm in a wheelchair, it's pretty easy to remind me to do things. So, when we were talking about getting a motorized wheelchair, she said she can just picture herself chasing me down the street telling me to drink more water. How funny is that?
Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”
John 4:13-15 ESV
Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw water.”
