Before I begin the writing, I just want to give a shout out to Alfredo! Joe and I went to Golden Nugget yesterday evening for an early dinner. Alfredo was our nice waiter. Of course after our yummy meal, I gave him a card. I pray you'l!l be encouraged by the writings and make it a blessed day! Very happy Saturday! Looks like it's going to be snowing all day. And, Joe is so lucky because since we live in a condo, he does not have to worry about shoveling! :-) Maybe, one day we'll be in a house? I have no idea. It's up to God!
You know what else is up to God? Well, a lot of things. It would take more than a day probably to go through all of the things. No, today I'm going to talk about one thing that God is totally in control of.
And, that my friends is us. Let me elaborate more. God knows what we did, what we
are doing, and what we are going to do in the future.
See, we can ask God for forgiveness when we mess up with something big time,
because of the death of Jesus Christ. First of all he knew I was going to do that. But the glory about it is he's still working on me so he knows my flawed character is going to mess up a lot.
See, God looks at his kids for what we are going to become not for what we are right now. Does that make sense? Don't worry you're not the only one who got lost at first. When I first heard that, I had to think long and hard about what it was actually meaning.
Picture something like this. Sam says, " I'm sorry God for doing such a thing. God is probably thinking, " It's okay Sam, I know you are not a perfect human being.Your character is flawed. I know you're bound to mess up.
But don't worry my child, because I forgive you. Sam, you are beautiful in my eyes. I look at you for what you will become not for what you are presently." Yeah, something like that.
And, boy aren't we lucky and blessed for all of that? Can you imagine if it mattered how we are presently? There would be no hope for the future? Wow that scared me a little. Lol Praise the Lord for Jesus dying so we wouldn't have to worry about That stuff. Right?
2 Corinthians 5:11 NKJV
If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new”
