Power Series Part 47: Power of Rejection

Play for the Audio Version

What do you guys think of when you hear the word rejection? Doesn't the word Dumped come to mind? As I've said before I've been married for quite some years now so, I forgot the feeling a being dumped. However, if I really stop and think about it I could probably remember a time of being dumped. Oh my gosh, I am remembering an incident with a gentleman who totally dumped me. He got my girlfriend pregnant. Kunda while seeing each other. Sounds like a total Jerry Springer type thing. Right? Yep it was what we see on TV come to life type of thing. Has to do with Valentine's Day, a mixtape, and a pink rose. You guys use your imagination. I'm sure you might come  pretty close to  the actual scenario.

You know what? At the time it really hurt and it was like the end of the world. But, now I see that the Lord had a better plan for me. And, now I am happy with my husband. Oh so happy! :-) My girlfriend had the baby but is no longer with him. I guess he ended up to be a real jerk. Thank God for making things work out the way they did. :-) God's plan was best! So that was what I was preoccupied with for a few months of my life in the past.

Rejection. It's really a feeling that pretty much sucks! I'm thinking of how God would probably be really hurt if he was rejected by anyone of us. He probably becomes really sad when he is rejected by his own creation. Poor God.:-( He knows that there is a consequence the if they reject him. And, I'm sure that really makes him sad. However, we have a just God. So, he's going to allow what he says in his word he is going to allow to happen to people who reject him. What about you? Do you fall under the category of people who rejected God.
