Evil Thoughts

The evil one has worked his Badness and is still working. He's pretty smart and he really knows what we like, and what we don't like. He knows how to get us to sin. He started with Eve in the Garden. He made Eve think twice about what God said about eating the forbidden fruit.

What About Us? We know we're not supposed to do something. But, maybe we think twice about doing it. Perhaps, we are visually enticed by something that we know isn't good. We suddenly find ourselves doubting what we read in the words of God.

We even think to ourselves something like, "one time wouldn't hurt." My friend, yes it will hurt. It will hurt God.  We really don't want to do that. Right?

Sometimes, we really run out of patience. And, instead of waiting for what God is going to do, we take matters into our own hands. And, toy with the will of God.

I'm thinking of the Bible character Sarah, and what she did when she made her husband sleep with, Hagar, the maidservant. Why would you do that? Sarah wanted to continue Abraham's bloodline. And, she was not able to bear him any children at the time she wanted.

The evil one likes to whisper bad thoughts in one's mind. Maybe, it is saying to harshly speak to husbands, wives, boyfriend's, girlfriends, loved ones, acquaintances, enemies, really anyone.

Evil ones may whisper to be verbally abusive to your loved ones. Perhaps even physically abusive to them. What comes to mind is the horrible death and abuse of a 4-year-old child, Anaya Day.

The story came out last year in March. She was physically abused by her mother who received 80 years in prison and her live-in boyfriend went to jail as well for being an accomplice and not saying anything to anyone about the abuse and death. The real father was trying to get custody, but unfortunately, the courts were too late. That's all I will say about that tragic story. My caregiver showed me more info on the web. :(

Folks, evil is real. I am sure you see for yourselves. Either, what you see when you watch the news, stories you hear from other people, or when you interact with strangers and or loved ones.  To reiterate evil thoughts are getting in people's minds.

The reason I am telling you these thoughts is so that you will know. And, so you will be awar when you suddenly are stuck with really bad thoughts and or really mean and negative urges to do something you know is not right.

No, I don't have the recipe to make a magic potion so those evil thoughts will just disappear. Wouldn't that be good? But, sorry no can do.

Friends, I don't know. I'm right there with you. It's difficult, so difficult, so frustrating and such a struggle. When I, myself will end up listening to those thoughts and act on them. Or, when I have to go through the experience of interacting with someone else who listened to those evil thoughts. Of course, it's difficult. Perhaps, sometimes really hurts verbally, or maybe even physically.

What can we do? All we can do friends is this. Pray. That's all we can do. Fellow Christians, we need to rest in the fact that he that is in fellow children of God is greater than he that is in the world!

We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.
