I can't walk anymore. Can't even stand without holding on to something or someone. How do I feel about that? Well, of course It sucks. However, I still need to praise God because his strength is in my weakness. For someone who is in the kind of state I am in right now, I think I should feel pretty blessed.
Meaning, I'm super blessed by the people I'm surrounded by. And very blessed with the things the Lord has allowed in my life and his provided for me.
I think of the Bible character Job. I suggest you read the book of Job. His family was taken away. His body was very badly damaged. He lost all of his possessions. Yet, he was still praising God! His wife was all he had left. And, she would tell him to curse God and die!
I know right! Apparently, she didn't share in Job's positive faith in God for what he was doing. Actually, a lot of people didn't agree with Job.Can you believe Job’s friends were saying this bad stuff was happening because it was his fault? If I didn't mention it yet, Job was by far the most faithful man ever! He really was the most faithful child of God. And, everyone knew it! And, I'm sure God appreciated it!
He had a very interesting story. Despite, all of the heartache and turmoil Job went through, he still remained faithful to his God. What a Bible character 1 should really emulate!
Folks,I need to realize that it could be a lot worse. But it's not. Praise God it's not! Amen to that? Amen!
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.
The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe..
Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand
