Something We Should Not Say

Play for the Audio Version

Shout out to this nice man, Emrah who was fixing up his coffee and got me a straw. Thanks, Emrah for getting me a straw and for accepting my card! I pray you will be encouraged by the writings!

Shout out to Laura! Thanks, girl, a new Starbucks worker who brought me hot water, when I got off the phone with her! I hope and pray you will be encouraged by the writings!

Do you guys ever find yourselves saying," you can't?"  Like you say that you can't do this or that...  You say it without even trying first. Talk about being the major opposite of psyching yourself up with encouragement right? That wouldn.'t be a good thing. Definitely, do not think a negative boost of disappointment would be from God. Nope. Smells like the evil one making you feel crestfallen or discouraged. We don't want that.

The other day my pastor was telling me that he did not like to utilize the word "cant." Like one can't do something. He says nobody knows what God will or will not allow you to do. That made perfect sense to me!

I totally see using the word, " cant" as being a total deal-breaker before it's even addressed or before even trying. I find hearing the words " they can't do something," so discouraging. Again how do they even know? They didn't even try! They didn't even wait and see how God could make them see they can rather than cant! Lord willing of course.

I think of Mary, the mother of Jesus. She probably had thoughts before pertaining to this. ( people probably think that I am somewhat of like a whore! People probably think I cheated n Joseph! I probably sound crazy! People are never gonna believe that I am and about to give birth to the child of God! I don't even know if I believe it!

What if they hurt me? Stone me or kill me? I just CAN'T do this!!!" Of course, I am making all this up. I do not know for sure that's why I said probably.

However, those thoughts might have really happened. I mean, it pretty much makes sense. Right? I mean Mary was  human. And us fellow humans know our minds can run wild. And, sometimes we will let feelings of Doubt ceep in our thoughts. But, I don't recall reading any of those kind of thoughts. No, because that didn't happen. God helped Mary! And, he can help me and you guys too! Will you give him a chance to show you?

Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength
