How Can We Do That?

Play for the Audio Version ( Bible Verses)
Ladies and gentlemen of the web audience let me tell you something. That's something you guys shouldn't have done! You are far from being perfect. You messed up just now! And maybe a couple hours ago too. I'm pretty sure you made a big boo-boo yesterday or last week or last month or a minute ago. Yep, you guys know I'm probably right. You're thinking of what you did right now. And oh boy do you feel bad!

You know what? I myself can probably go right along with what I'm talking about. Kind of seems like I'm pointing fingers and accusing you of doing the wrong. I don't think that's right. We are all sinners in our own way. There's not one person that is better than the other when it comes to sinning

Seriously how can somebdy do that? Unfortunately, there really are some people who like to start pointing fingers at someone else because they are doing wrong. I repeat how how can we do that?

How can someone do that when we ourselves will also fall into the category of being a wrong doer. Seriously, you catch my drift? Are you guys like that? I think that could be something to really think about.

Check this Bible verse out. It's pretty much verbatim and is talking about exactly what I'm talking about. Romans 3:23 says. " For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God!" Let me say that again and break it up to make sure you really understand it. For all have sinned. That means we sin before, more than likely will sin in the future ( I'm talking about me by the way) and is probably sinning right now. So, fortunately that's pretty bad news. We're all sinners.

What comes to mind is the Bible story of that one woman who was about to get stones thrown at her. She did a really bad thing. She committed adultery.

All the people were getting in position to Stone her. Then Jesus came in the picture and was being his " wise" self." He said to the people something along the lines of this { if there is any one of you men who is the first without sin, then they can be the first one to throw a stone at the woman}.

One by one each person left and no one threw a stone at her. Then when Jesus was the only one left this happened. Jesus saidzc, " What happened did no one throw a stone

At you?" And he told her he wasn't going to either. He just told her to leave her life of sin. And then they parted ways.

Let me end this writing by asking you guys again. Are you guys like that too? The word judging comes to mind. Even if we see with our own eyes a sin being committed by someone else, oh we just have to keep the mouth shut and let the Holy Spirit do the convicting. I remember one time my pastor's wife, Joyce would always tell me to remember we are not our husbands Holy Spirit. Definitely words I need to remember more.

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Matthew 7:1-5

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye

Isaiah 1:18

“Come now, let us settle the matter,”

says the Lord. 'Though your sins are like scarlet,

they shall be as white as snow;

though they are red as crimson,

they shall be like wool.'"

John 8:1-11 New Living Translation (NLT)
1 Jesus returned to the Mount of Olives,2 but early the next morning he was back again at the Temple. A crowd soon gathered, and he sat down and taught them. 3 As he was speaking, the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in the act of adultery. They put her in front of the crowd. 4 “Teacher,” they said to Jesus, “this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?”6 They were trying to trap him into saying something they could use against him, but Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger. 7 They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, “All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!” 8 Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust.

9 When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman. 10 Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?”

11 “No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said,“Neither will I. Go and sin more.”
