Doing It!

Play for the Audio Version

When a person is doing something that would probably be glorifying the Lord, they would be thinking they're doing a good thing. Yes, I agree. However, I also know that someone else who is pretty evil also will agree. And, Satan and his goons do not want the positivity of God to be conveyed to other people.

We may very well be doing the good things that will show to other people and ourselves God's goodness and glory! But, seriously we need to keep our eyes, heart, and thoughts open and be aware of " chaos, heart breaks, harshness, unnecessary coarse or vulgar language." Bitter tongues can give off mean words. I don't know, maybe even physical abuse. I say we should watch out for all that is negative and something not expected from others.

Because, that is exactly what Satan will do! I have seen it. And you guys have probably seen it too. Perhaps some may even have seen and experienced that it may even be deadly. Thank God I have never experienced that type of situation. However I'm sure there have been some that have.

My advice is this. Keep on doing it!
However, do it in a way that is keeping your obedience to God. I'll give you an example.

Maybe, you were asked to go to your
local neighborhood
to hand out some literature ( peace tacts). You would like to share the gospel message with others. You may be thinking, now what could be wrong with that? Well, the date of this activity is during the week. You work during the week. Should you go on your activity? That, I would not be able to tell you. How's your relationship with your boss? Maybe you should ask what he thinks first. See what I'm talking about when I say keeping the obedience to God?

Doesn't God say he wants us to follow authority? And, yes God is our first authority/priority . So let's first obey him. I wouldn't be surprised if the boss does give you the day off to hand out peace tracts because you chose to follow God first! Or, the boss might want you to work. Friends, please don't misunderstand. We would not know what your boss will say.

So, that was just a little example I thought of right now quickly before getting ready for church. Talk to you guys tomorrow!

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.
