DTFS Promise Series Part 19: Promise To One Day Be...

Play for the Audio Version

When you were still a little cute munchkin did you used to do this? Maybe you tagged along with your parents, fellow sibling, or any legal guardian you had so looked up to and were always with that person? You really were like their shadow. You seriously told yourself you will one day be like that person! You just admired this person so much!

I don't know maybe you don't feel that way about any person. Any human that is. However, I don't know about you guys but, our God seems pretty spectacular! Definitely, one to emulate! Right?

Well, I say put that trust that you will one day be like him, God. Because, oh no our God does not disappoint.  Buleee dat!

The bible says when the born-again Christian believers get to heaven this will happen. We will all have new, glorified bodies! That means that we will be spiritual beings with glorified bodies, not experiencing pain, hurt, sickness or any of the like.

You know, how awesome you hear how God is now? Be encouraged, because that's what born again Christians will be like one day when with him!

Pause break! No, not going to say that I did something at Starbucks. Actually, Starbucks is closed down for renovation or something.  No need to be nicer to me did something to me the bathroom bigger? Oh, that would be awesome! Glady and I have been going to Corner Bakery sometimes.

Sorry, that's beside the point.  Sorry, for getting off-topic there for a second, or maybe more. Like a few minutes. Anyway.  I wanted to share with you guys something that I thought of before.

Yes, I know there and times I really do surprise myself I'm not going to give birth intelligent Deep Thoughts.  Believe me it doesn't happen all the time time.

Listen to this. I feel like we, born again Christians are like on a conveyor belt. We go through it and we sometimes get some bumps and bruises AKA sin But, then we get fixed when we get to a certain point AKA when we ask for forgiveness and repent. And, as long as we are going through life we will continue to be on that conveyor belt.

When it's time for us to get off the conveyor belt, that means we have been made perfect like God. That's not going to be for a long time, I think. But who knows God might speed up the plan a bit. Remember, he can come back anytime. Nobody knows not even the Son only the father.

Folks, if you guys are going I'm trying to say. Let me say again. You know that you, me, and then I really just flawed individuals that need some fixing in our lives.  God knows that.  God understands that. Trust God
Did he can fix that!

1 Thessalonians 5:23

Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

And the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave

Matthew 24:36

“But concerning that day and hour, no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son,
