DTFS Promise Series Part 50: No Record

Play for the Audio Version

I had to come back again. I have a couple of shout-outs to give out. First shout out to Karla from the
Food Eatery at Block 37 ! Shout out to Vanessa from the Disney Store at Block 37. Thank you for accepting my card and I pray you will be encouraged by the writings. Enjoy the rest of your evening!

Do you keep records? No, I'm not talking about albums or those Platinum Circle things that play music. I'm really talking about both good or bad... Perhaps a better way to say it is good or bad memories.

Good memories are probably good to remember. However, we probably shouldn't remember bad things. God doesn't remember bad things once we say sorry to him. He forgives us and forgets it. I know right? Why can't I do that too?

I know my husband doesn't like to remember bad things. I speak to people who do it. The other day I was speaking to someone who was planning on recording their child and keeping the recording as a way to let their child listen to it when it is really needed.

I'm not going to lie. I've recorded before but only let the person listen to it. And then once I let the person listen, I would delete it.

Well, then I did it another time and let someone else listen to it just to see if it was considered something. I needed validation on it but I got more validation from God. So, I stopped recording, because God has his way of letting His will be done and trust me if you stop recording he'll just let... Nevermind that's all I will say about that.

What comes to mind is Jesus. What I mean is what Jesus thinks about this kind of stuff. This is my Deep Thought.

Do not take this as truth because I have no idea if this is true. But, I'm thinking we may have that memory of the bad because it was never put to rest. Do you know what I mean? Maybe the other person didn't know they hurt you? Maybe you did not forgive yet?

I've done that thing where they didn't apologize but I forgave. And I was put to rest for a few years. But it comes back. The evil one likes to bring it back! He likes to put in your mind again. And, what you have to do is you have to be like evil ontop it in the name of Jesus! Get away from me! I already forgave this person! You're just making me remember it again because you're so evil. Try that! I do it and it goes away. But it will always come back again.

Oh, it always comes back, especially when an incident that is somewhat similar is happening. Again those are the times when we have to rebuke and renounce Satan in the name of Jesus.

Because he knows what our vulnerabilities are and that's when he will attack. To reiterate those are my thoughts, so please don't take them too seriously. However, doesn't it make sense? Just like the famous line from the movie Frozen. Just let it go!

Jeremiah 31:34

No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the Lord. “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”

1 Corinthians 13:5

It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
