DTFS Promise Series Part 68: True Friendship

( These are the words that I'm saying in the beginning. "Bonjour Mes Amis! Samantha ici. Maybe I should use my French name when I was in high school and say Monique ici.)

Hello my friends, Samantha here.....

First, let me ask you guys that are around my age have you ever heard of the word "Thot"? Or if you're referring to more than one person, "Thots?" Don't worry you and me both. When my friend told me she said she feels old? How do you think I feel when I'm older than my friend? I totally agree with my friend when she said, " every generation comes up with a new word." This generation has the word 'Thot' pronounced like thought. That is the replacement word for hoe or slut.

Now on to my writing. I'm going to write today about true friends. And, no I'm not saying that thots are going to be your true friends. 

I would not be able to tell you that. They could be.

So, yeah this friend of mine was telling me this. In a very heated manner, I may add. Seriously, when she told me the memory was still clear in her mind. It was making her pretty upset. She was reminded of how mean girls were back then.

People thought my friend was a tomboy. But, she was not a tomboy. They just 0thought that of her because she would hang out with the guys. Actually, my friend and her sisters were very pretty! These girls thought my friend and her sisters would have sex with the guys. However, that was far from the truth. The guys just liked to chill with them because they were cool. She said the guys told them they gave good advice. And, that they were good listeners. There was no sex in those sentences. 

Now I'll talk about myself. How did things go with myself and Friends? Well, in particular, High School friends. What I can remember about High School is this. It was predominantly like one race. I remember me and the other people in the minority category didn't really associate ourselves with many high school activities.

Pause break. I do remember being in the French Club. I  enjoyed mostly everything about the French. I should have been a French Teacher. Oh well, that ship has sailed. So to speak. Oh, and I remember singing the Star Spangled Banner at like pep rallies. But really that was it. When it came to friends, in High School I really had a select few. They were in the minority race like me. We would meet at our normal lunch table and just eat, chill, and talk. 

I remember we would kind of like isolate ourselves from certain people  Man,  we kids were stupid back then LOL 

Now, that I think about it when it came to my high school, do I have regrets? I've had a few.

Just some words for people who are in high school right now. Well, I actually don't know what high school is like nowadays. But, listen up. Friends,  high school is temporary! Time is just going to fly by! So, my advice is to enjoy your time in high school. The time God has allowed for your life. Don't be a hater! Don't be a bully. Be a friend to someone who is getting bullied. 

Are you being told you don't fit in the cool clique? First of all, what does that mean? What does that mean? If they're telling you, you don't belong? Then, screw them! I say than time to start your own clique. You can call it, the unique people click! I don't know but you guys but that sounds like the click to be in!

Anyway, that was how high school was. My reading for the day is about friends. Back then in high school, I had friends. Now, I also have friends. However, unlike other people maybe I'm no longer friends with the people I was friends with in high school. Do I want a forever friend? Do you want a forever friend? You can have one! God can be your Forever friend! Get this he will always be with you! He will never leave or forsake you!. Who are we that he is mindful of us? Friends, he chooses to be the friend of sinners if the Sinners want. How about you? Do you want to be true friends with God? 

John 15:15
