earlier writings, I really do see myself as an early retiree. Well, if we look at it as speaking from a " worldly job." As long as I am here living in this world, I will always be working for God.
Then, my retirement party will last and be eternal paradise in heaven!
What is Sam talking about? Folks, well I actually started working at age 13/14 as a waitress, at a diner named Hamburge Hotline " I can mention it because the building was rorn
down and is no longer in business.
I actually really enjoyed this job. However, my parents did not want me working at all. Let alone the " under the table" job. So, before the month was over, they called my boss and I was fired. Those were sad and messy times. It was OK I was young. So, I quickly got over it.
Then, came high school. Early on in my second year my Auntie Lilia got me an interview at her job, Standard Bank! They were looking for part time tellers.
As years went by I was just concentrating on graduating high school. After that happened, I went to a junior college. And, again got a job at South Division Credit Union. Again, working as a teller.
Now, let's fast forward all the way to after graduating from UIC with a BA in Communication. Let's skip over my time interning as a copywriter. Forward working Assistant Producer (AP) at WBBM News Radio, and my last job working as a receptionist with marketing experience.
Now, here I am just turned 40 and I never reentered the work force. Well, in the world that is. See, why I say early retiree?
So, now what? Well, now I really am just continuing to work for God! I believe one way I am working is by doing my writings on this blog. Really, the point i am trying to make is this. It really is about honouring Jesus by faithfully using the gifts he has given us. When we do? It does not make a difference no matter where we serve or work.
Ephesians 4:16
He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.
