Fellow wives? Why do we do that? Why do we waste time doing what God knows we cannot do? What on Earth is Sam talking about this morning? 

I will say it like this. Why do we wives waste our time acting like our husband's Holy Spirit? Fellow Christian wives with a Christian husband know exactly what I am talking about? Sometimes, we need to shut up for lack of a better way to put it.

Let me give an example. My husband's hands are getting really dry and he's been complaining they've been hurting him. I am suggesting sending an email to my doctor. And, maybe he can recommend what lotion he should use.

My husband sternly says not to because he had it under

control and he was going to research what to use himself. Then I ( as if I know better) begin arguing saying but this and but that.

Until the Holy Spirit knocks on my heart. Then I feel I need to shut up and listen to my husband because I am not my husband's Holy Spirit. Apparently he feels he will do the research for the lotion himself. And, what I need to do is to just shut up and trust his judgement. I need to remember that the Holy Spirit is speaking to his heart as well. I'm sure I'm not the only wife who doesn't know when to shut up. I don't know because everyone is different.

If I have anything that I would like to advise fellow christian wives? I would say this. Please try and remember you are not your christian husband's holy spirit. 

Please don't misunderstand. I am not saying it's time for the wives to not have an opinion. Wives, share your opinion with your husband.

Talk about how you 2 can come to a mutual understanding.Just please remember God has the final say. And, wives, do you believe that God is speaking to your husband's heart?
