Doubting Thomas...Do you doubt?

Do you doubt? I know I do sometimes, yup seriously I do. Before I accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior, I think a little pinch of doubt wandered around in my mind.  I would venture to guess that there are some people out there who are thinking to say, " Ok God if you are real, show yourself to me or do some miraculous thing so I would believe!" Are you like that?  Don't think you are weird or are the only one, because even Thomas in the bible story had his doubts.  I have included the story at the bottom of this writi.ng for your viewing pleasure. :)

Now, I'll tell ya, I didn't decide to follow Jesus because he appeared to me and had me touch where his nail scarred hands and feet were, like he did for Thomas.  I have decided to follow and believe in Jesus because I have the faith and believe in what He has done for me. I asked Him to come live in my heart and told Him that I know I am a sinner and I know he died for me and carried all of my sins past, present, and future with Him on that cross.  I know and am assured of my salvation! I will spend eternity with Jesus in Heaven and eternal paradise when it is time to leave this Earth and go home! I  am saved from the fiery pits of hell!

Friends, it truly does just take faith! I used to follow Faith plus Good Works = Salvation.  However, thank God I discovered that equation was so incorrect! The correct way to go through life is FAITH = SALVATION + GOOD WORKS.   Does that make sense?  Please talk to me if you want to. :)  You see I don't believe God wants us to work for our salvation. Romans 6:23 says For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life"  You see, God dying for us was a gift and all we have to do is take it and accept it! I believe God is more concerned about us believing in Him and having that personal relationship with Him, and the works will follow.  I really hope my writing for the day spoke to your hearts! Blessings on everyone's day!

Jesus and Thomas

Although Thomas the Twin was one of the twelve disciples, he wasn't with the others when Jesus appeared to them. So they told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But Thomas said, “First, I must see the nail scars in his hands and touch them with my finger. I must put my hand where the spear went into his side. I won't believe unless I do this!” A week later the disciples were together again. This time, Thomas was with them. Jesus came in while the doors were still locked and stood in the middle of the group. He greeted his disciples and said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and look at my hands! Put your hand into my side. Stop doubting and have faith!” Thomas replied, “You are my Lord and my God!” Jesus said, “Thomas, do you have faith because you have seen me? The people who have faith in me without seeing me are the ones who are really blessed!” (‭John‬ ‭20‬:‭24-29‬ CEVUK00)
