They Spit on Me!

Then they spit in his face and struck him with their fists. Others slapped him (‭Matthew‬ ‭26‬:‭67‬ NIV)

What would you do if someone spit in your face, slapped you, or just started to abuse you in someway. I'm talking about if it was just some stranger.  I do not know about you, but I believe my immediate reflex would be to either spit or hit back.  Yup, that would probably be how I would react.
Retaliation seems like the word. I want to introduce or reintroduce, perhaps a man named Jesus.  If you weren't aware of the hardships and suffering He went through for you, check it out more detailed in the bible.  It is pretty gruesome and kinda makes you sad.

Some of you may believe in Jesus. Some may not. But, let me tell you if it was your loved one who was being abused terribly, wouldn't you want to do something to help your loved one or you would most likely feel  pretty bad. I think at the time of Jesus' crucifixion, that is certainly how some people felt.

I guess what I mean to target and focus on is how awesome Jesus was to not follow our retaliation methods. He did nothing when He was suffering through all that pain. He said nothing harsh when he was being meanly spoken to. He did not plead or beg to be set free.  And, even though before even coming to the point of crucifixion, when he was going through the trial, all He needed to do was say He was not the Son of God or King Jesus, but He did not because He was the Son of God and knew the will of God the father was for God the Son be crucified on the cross, suffer, die, be buried and to rise again! He is not here; he has risen! (‭Luke‬ ‭24‬:‭6‬ NIV). For the wages if sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life (John 3:16.
Pretty cool huh? He did all that so you, me, and all humankind would have life and not have to spend eternity in hell! He didn't have to but He did and I am pretty thankful for it.  See, we all are sinners and we all deserve to pay for how bad of a sinner we really are. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of a God.   But thank you Jesus for all the suffering and hardships you went through for us! To reiterate, you may not believe in Jesus and that is totally your decision and no matter what you decide it won't affect our friendship with one another whatsoever. I am just sharing my thoughts and I hope you guys respect me as well!  Have a fantabulous day!
