Bet you guys did not know about all those ways to define 'grace' right. I know I didn't. I actually am learning a lot of new things as I write my blog. :) Anyway, back to the writing at hand. God's awesome present to all of us is his gift of grace. The way that my old Sunday morning bible teacher defined grace stuck with me. He defined grace as " unmerited favor of God" You get what I mean?
If someone was to tick me off and I became really really mad, and had no intention of resolving any conflict with this person, then I think well the part of me that is human would absolutely not want to forgive at all. Duh! But, let's say someone ticks me off and I get really really mad, but I make myself realize this person didn't mean to hurt me and this person apologizes to me, and is really sorry? If I decide to forgive no matter what, that would be me offering grace folks.
A question that always seems to follow is " So, since God gave us grace then does that mean, we really don't have to follow the law and sin all we want? " My answer to that is "What should we say? Should we keep on sinning, so that God's gift of undeserved grace will show up even better? No, we should not! If we are dead to sin, how can we go on sinning? (Romans 6:1-2 CEVDCUS06) See, my thoughts are that I am so thankful to God for giving grace and then some so that I will be saved from the fiery pits of hell and have eternal life in Heaven. Who am I that the God of all would care to know my name and suffer and die for me so I would have life? Wow, Jesus must really love me to do all He has done for me! I believe all He did for me. Do you? Hope so!
