If you are a true believer in Christ, I am sure you know exactly what I am talking about. It's real and so soft sometimes, we really need to be still if we want to hear it. The question is do we even want to hear it and will we even listen to what the voice is saying? You know what I am referring to right?
I'll share an example. I remember back in my teen years, I like most teens had a crush on a boy ( name will remain hidden and nope he is not a Facebook friend :) . This boy wasn't so good. Yup, he was one of the bad boys. So, before I pursued this crush any further, what I really should have done was pray first about the future of me and this boy. I was stubborn and didn't pray, but God decided to talk anyway. God wasn't verbal in His words, but he spoke to my heart. And, when God speaks to your heart, that's some pretty powerful stuff. Anyway, I felt God saying don't go any further with this crush. Stupid and stubborn Sam didn't listen and to make a long story short. I dated this bad boy, and I was hurt and the relationship did not have any future. God was right no surprise DUH! Moral of the story is listen to that still small voice. God is trying to save you from the bad stuff. So, friend, Listen!
For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11 NASB)
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalm 46:10 New International Version (NIV)
