I feel that and I certainly hear it from other people too. It happens sometimes right? I'm talking about when we feel like it's just too much. Kind of similar to a past deep thought writing on feeling overwhelmed but this one is when things are simultaneously happening and making you feel like it's just too much.
What do you mean Sam? Can you give an example? Sure I can. Here's an example.....Ok, let's say I wake up feeling a bit crappy because I had my shot last night, so I ended up feeling the side effects of flu like symptoms. I want to take some medicine but we ran out of flu medication. I couldn't go to the store to get some because I had no ride. So, there was nothing to do but wait. When I finally have a ride to get to the store, the store had none and ran out of the medicine I usually use. The next shipment was the following day.
See, what I mean now? Friends, you may be thinking or even going through a similar, maybe messy unfortunate sequence of just bad events. Believe you me, I know it just sucks! Usually, when I seriously am having one of those days what do I do you ask? Well, now that I am not experiencing what I am writing about. Let me see and try to offer deep thoughts of how to approach the situation with the Christian heart.
Ok, I am not going to say, "well, first I pray" because I don't. I truly believe we should but I don't. I, probably like most people in the world I begin having a silent or loud tantrum with the will of God. Sometimes, even using the bad words against God. Do you do that too?
When I stop and really think about it those times are perfect times for evil to speak to hearts. Am I right? I find myself angry and yelling at God? I don't usually act that way! I am swearing and saying bad words against God. I hate to swear! Or, you may suddenly be thinking thoughts you never
usually think of, and, the thoughts are all against God. Do you think the evil one is planting those thoughts in your mind? I think now would be a time to rebuke the devil in the name of Jesus!
Well, maybe we can just keep in mind, there will be light at the end of the tunnel. If you are a true believer in Christ, you know that no matter what bad things you go through they will not happen when The Lord calls you home to Heaven. What a happy day that will be for all the children of God!
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
(Matthew 19:26 NIV)
For God gave us not a spirit of fearfulness; but of power and love and discipline. (2 Timothy 1:7 ASV)
