I am meaning God wants us to let it go and don't hold grudges. To be honest, I like maybe other people have some difficulty with that. I would not say that I concoct a plan of ultimate revenge in my mind, but I think from time to time, what was done pops up in my mind. I believe it's probably the evil one trying to rehash and make me remember the past even though I already gave it to God and forgave in my heart.
God wants us to let it go. Let's say the person who you are holding a grudge over does not know The Lord. Wouldn't your testimony be ruined? What if God selected you to be the one to lead them to Christ? If you never talk to this person again, they won't know anything about God and that would be a win for Satan. You wouldn't want that right?
Ephesians 4:31-32New International Version (NIV)
31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. the person to The Lord? If you were still holding the grudge, I am thinking you stopped communicating with the person, Satan win s this one. You really want that?Let it go! Let it go! Let it go! I know it's hard but Jesus said so. :)
1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Matthew 11:28
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
