You are Guilty!

" I know! Do you have to tell me and just make me feel worse?" Do you ever feel like saying something to that effect when someone accuses you of being guilty?  Perhaps, one may say my title of this writing to you?  And, you decide to end your side of the conversation with words of silencing their mouths. I'm thinking maybe something like shut up?! Or possibly add in a few bad words along with that?

I, myself really hate that sometimes. There are times I honestly appreciate the rebuke from others. Let me first begin by saying if your brother or sister in Christ does decide to catch your sin and give you a tiny rebuke, then that rebuke should be in love. Otherwise, I don't think we would want to listen and our attention and mind definitely would be totally opposite to what is certainly right in God's eyes.

What is my thought of someone other than God saying my title to me? Hmm.... Well maybe unless you are God wait a bit until you say my title to me. I say wait a bit because I think we should pray about it first and let God decide if you should do the loving rebuke, or if God has someone else in mind to speak to the person, or maybe God has a totally different plan in mind?

Over the years of my life, I really found that sometimes even if I know I'm doing something wrong I just don't want to hear it from certain people. It is like my ears are suddenly shut and I fight and argue to the end until I get my way. You see my way is definitely the right way. But then, at different times and with different people who do the loving rebuke it is a totally different ball game. The ears are open and ready to listen. All of the sudden my eyes are open wide and seeing the wrong I have done. I guess really before you talk to the person friend, pray if my title is in your mind of what you should say.

John 16:8-15 New International Version (NIV)

8 When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: 9 about sin, because people do not believe in me; 10 about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; 11 and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

12 “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”
